Continuing Education Credits

 

In support of improving patient care, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.

Jointly_Accredited_Provider_JPEGThe 2025 Forum is approved to provide credit for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, quality professionals, healthcare executives, and Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Human Factors in Health Care (CPHFH), Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Health Care (CPAFH), and Certified Professional in Clinical Health Equity (CPCHE) recertification. Maximum credit amounts vary by profession and selected sessions.

In-Person: The Institute for Healthcare Improvement designates this live activity for a maximum of 36.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity may also be applicable for other professions that accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Virtual Pass: The Institute for Healthcare Improvement designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity may also be applicable for other professions that accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive up to 30.25 general continuing education credits (In-person attendance only).

This activity is approved by NAHQ® for 34.75 CPHQ CE credits (In-person attendance only).

In-Person: By attending the 2025 Forum offered by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement participants may earn up to 18.75 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.

Virtual Pass: By attending the 2025 Forum offered by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement participants may earn up to 7 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.

Claiming Your Credits

If you registered for the 2025 IHI Forum and attended sessions and/or watched recorded content, follow the below instructions for claiming Continuing Education credits for sessions.

STEP ONE: Log into the Event Lobby

Visit the IHI Forum Lobby and log in with the email and last name used during registration.

STEP TWO: Open the Survey Home Page

After logging in, click "To Complete CE Session surveys: Click Here" on the main lobby.

STEP THREE: Complete the Surveys

Complete a survey for each session you attended and wish to claim credit for.

Once the date for receiving your instructions has passed, you are now able to log into your MyIHI (ihi.org) account using your IHI username to access and download your certificate(s). Your certificates can be found on the “Credits” tab in your IHI profile.

Once in the Credits tab, click the credit type next to each session and then click the PDF icon to download your certificate.

Registering Others or a Group of 9 or less?

Before registering someone else or a group:

  • Ensure each attendee has an existing IHI account. If you plan on registering on behalf of an attendee, please be sure that you are logged into that attendee’s IHI account.

  • Once the first registration has been completed, select the “Register Another” button to register the next attendee. Continue this process until everyone has been registered.
